Today marks the first worship service at our building in nearly 7 months, and through thought and prayer, Haggai is our text. Haggai prophesies at a unique time in history – Israel has returned from Exile, but is focusing on rebuilding the wrong things. How do Haggai’s commands to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem correspond with how we can rebuild our temple today? And why is this an appropriate thing to preach at this time in our history?
